What is a mobile notary?

A mobile notary travels to your location to notarize documents at a time and place convenient for you. 

 

What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?

Remote Online Notarization allows documents to be notarized securely online using recorded audio-video technology. No in-person meeting is required.

 

Do I need to appear in person for online notarization? 

No. Remote Online Notarization is completed virtually through a secure online platform called BlueNotary. After your appointment is confirmed, a BlueNotary email will be sent to the email address provided during booking. The email will contain your secure session link and instructions for joining your Remote Online Notarization appointment.

What forms of identification are accepted? 

A valid government-issued photo ID is required, such as: Driver’s License, State ID Card, Passport, Military ID or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card). 

 

All identification presented for notarization must be valid, current, and unexpired at the time of the notarial act. Expired identification cards cannot be accepted.

Can you notarize documents for clients outside Illinois?

Yes. Remote Online Notarization services are available to signers located throughout the United States, subject to Illinois law and identity verification requirements and acceptance by the receiving agency or oranization.

What types of documents can be notarized?

Common documents include: Power of Attorney, Affidavits, Real Estate Documents, Healthcare Directives, Vehicle Title Documents, Parental Consent Forms, and Business Documents

Loan Signing Services: Elite Signings and Notary LLC does not currently offer loan signing or real estate closing services. We are presently focused on providing general notary and Remote Online Notarization (RON) services.

Do I need to upload my documents before an online notarization appointment?

Yes. Documents must be submitted for review prior to your Remote Online Notarization appointment via BlueNotary. After your appointment is confirmed, a BlueNotary email will be sent to the email address provided during booking. The email will contain your secure session link and instructions for joining your Remote Online Notarization appointment including how to upload your documents and identification.

How much does Remote Online Notarization cost?

Pricing starts at $25 for the notary act itself. Additional fees may apply for expedited service that includes same-day and after hours scheduling. 

How much does mobile notary cost? 

Mobile notary service includes a travel fee plus applicable notarization fees. Travel fees start at $35 and include the first 10 miles round-trip and an additional mileage fee of $1.00/mile exceeding the first 10 miles round-trip. Appointments that are scheduled incorrectly will require a manual adjustment and an additional invoice will be created and sent to the client via email. The payment must be settled PRIOR to the appointment or the appointment will be cancelled.

Do you offer same-day or after hours appointments? 

Yes. Same-day and after hours appointments may be available based on scheduling and location. 

 

Emergency Appointment Requests: To request priority service, please add the priority appointment add-on (either same-day or after hours), pick from the available times for same-day or join the waitlist for after hours, detailing your preferred appointment date and time. Priority appointment requests are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from Elite Signings and Notary LLC. If we are unable to accommodate your request, any prepaid priority appointment fee will be refunded.

Can I sign my document before meeting with the notary? 

No. Unless specifically instructed otherwise, documents should be signed in the presence of the notary.

What if my document has blank spaces? 

Documents should be complete before notarization. Any non-applicable fields should be marked “N/A” and not left blank. Significant blank spaces may prevent a notarization from being completed. 

Important Notice: Clients are responsible for knowing which notarial act is required for their document (e.g., acknowledgment, jurat, oath, affirmation, or other notarization). Elite Signings and Notary LLC cannot select, recommend, or determine the appropriate notarial act, as doing so may constitute the unauthorized practice of law. If your document does not indicate the required notarial act, please contact the document preparer, receiving agency, or an attorney before your appointment. Documents submitted for notarization must include the appropriate notarial certificate or instructions specifying the required notarial act.

Can you provide legal advice or prepare legal documents? 

No. As a notary public, I cannot provide legal advice, select forms, or explain legal consequences of documents.
